Next stop Cheyenne…
Traveling is a lot of hotel rooms, eating bad food and lugging around stuff endlessly…. At least that is how it is feeling right now. Wyoming is beautiful though. It screams out for my pinhole camera. It is wasn’t buried deep in my Thule, I would drag it and Circe out onto the hills and take some pictures. The countryside is soft-rolling hills covered in sage green grass. Dotted with horses and cows. The air is clean and it has the biggest sky populated by soft cotton ball clouds. I was going to drive a ways and then find a place to stop and take some pictures, but the next thing I know I am in Nebraska!
I didn’t even take a picture of the room except for Circe making herself home on the bed. Mostly, she just stares at the bed. But, sometimes, she will jump up on her own. She is still developing her own style.
When we got to the room, we were pretty tired. I caught up on my blogging and then chowed down on another BLT and berry pie! I also joined the rewards club at the hotel seeing as how they are my new home. Each one is different I found out. The first one had a restaurant. The second did not, but had a fantastic breakfast. The third one, which I haven’t written about, had a laundry room that I didn’t discover until I was leaving. The fourth one is a bit different and more Hitchcock hotel style…..kind of creepy. It still has all the amenities in a comfortable bed, TV, coffee in the room and a full continental breakfast. I think I will dine with the bikers who checked in before me…. 😉
