I was in Nebraska before I even knew it. It was kind of surprising as every other state has taken awhile to get through. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to catch some images before I left.
I should insert here that I need to get to my new home before the movers do. My car is totally packed and Circe is not the happiest of campers in the back seat, so I cannot take any extra trips.
Gas stations are few in Nebraska at the Wyoming border. I was getting very low and a bit panicked as I hadn’t seen even a sign for gas in some time. When I got to Big Springs Nebraska, I stopped at a Pilot gas station. Wow, the prices are so much better than in CA. Nice to see the price coming down a bit. I did not see a big spring, or any spring for that matter. There were grouchy people everywhere.
This is also where I started to have issues with my credit card. The card company noticed my card was being used in multiple states and put a hold on the card.
A man came in and yelled at the cashier. I should note that she was taking forever to help the many in front of me. I needed a bathroom break so I was a little impatient. All in all, it was a pretty weird place. A sort of Disneyland for truckers.
I cut a little too much out of this clip. This was some farm we stopped at to stretch a bit. Nebraska seems like one endless loop. Not much variation and it started to hypnotize me. This was another stretch stop along the way. There wasn’t anything out there but this cemetery. It was odd as there was a bathroom and a bar-b-que. The whole thing was ringed by corn fields and the highway.
Here is our room in Nebraska. It was nice and little did I know, they had a laundry. I wish I had explored and found this before I was leaving. I could do with washing some clothes.
