LATE WEEK UPDATE
It is Thursday and the movers will be here either Friday or Saturday according to Vlad, the driver. I am excited to have clothes and shoes. It seems my packing was a bit light. All I have is sandals and one pair of galoshes, shorts, stretch running pants and tank tops. Oh , a couple of shorts, but hey, the weather has dipped to 58 one morning and generally in the low 60’s in the am. It has been warming up in the afternoon, but I totally don’t have any shoes for forest, grass or anything other than city streets.
Another crazy run with the pud this am, a short leg workout and on to the riding mower. I see this akin to one of the rides at Great America, kiddy one, but fun none the less. Should be good for a chuckle anyway. The mower, a Huskavarna, has a speed lever that shows a turtle at one end and a hare at the other end. Yes, I started with the tortoise and quickly moved up the scale. I actually narrated my ride, but the mower engine overpowers my narration. I had fun, the only issue is that the blades never engaged and all I did was flatten grass….hahahahahaha! Here is the video:
Circe was so exhausted after our run. It was late and warm and we did about 3.5 miles. She had her after-run treat and just crashed.
I forgot to mention that Circe made a friend on her freedom run the other day. A lab pit mix dog came sniffing about the other day. I turned around and there on the back porch staring into the French doors was this puddy looking for Circe. Just cracked me up. He ran off into the woods in the direction of the first house I chased her around. I did see a dog there running into the garage. I only caught sight of the hind end, but this guy fits the profile….hahahaha.
