Yeah, it probably feels like it should say Post Thanksgiving Blues, but it is really “Post Blues” Thanks. I haven’t posted in awhile mostly because I have been scurrying about trying to get myself into a permanent location. I went through various moves trying to pre-rent to own and all seem to have failed, for now at least.

I was blue mostly because I literally live in a labyrinth of boxes and piled furniture. I have little isles through the mess. There isn’t a clear work space for my computer and no table. Basically, my living area is couch and coffee table. No wonder Circe stays upstairs, at least she can move about more freely. Though both rooms are filled with stacked boxes. I have cleared a space for her to roll about in one room. Plus she has the vantage of the windows.
So I was talking with my cousin (a saint she is 🙂 ) telling her about the movie “My Octopus Teacher,” which is awesome and if you haven’t seen it–DO! I got to thinking that this octopus just was swimming into whatever came her way. She didn’t get all involved when something threw a wrench into her plans, she just adapted. Basically, just living without getting obsessed in the moment.
Yes, I have been obsessed with many moments lately. A sudden rash of calamities and emergencies one after another in a seemingly unending assault got me down. I have been wallowing and complaining the last few weeks, leaning into the wrong things. Miss Octopus made me realize I am just fighting events when I should just accept them and work my way out without getting all twisted up about them.

If things are not working with one method, it is time to switch directions. Crazy isn’t working so I have made a list and will move forward, just in a different direction. It is all still evolving, but it is time to try something new.

It is closing in on winter here. We have had several frosts and days around 19 degrees. Though over the holiday it has been in the 50’s. Feels like spring, actually! It is raining today, but it is not cold enough to snow. Though that is around the corner. I love running in this weather, crisp!!!
I thought I would throw up some images of homes I have been looking at. Unfortunately, the worst of the lot I have not taken pictures at–more startled and surprised at the condition made me a bit lax.

That pretty much catches me up…..It is beautiful here and snow is just around the corner. I am hoping for a white Christmas. Things should be crazy now that the Christmas rush is on. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. It goes by so fast…..
