December-Winge!

It has been a little bit since I have been on here. Just life getting in the way. Two months after moving here, I found out I would have to move again and now I am down to the point of panic. I have been getting settled in with DMV, voter registration, etc….. Funny how many things you have to do when you move to another state. Now I have to move again. This time it will be the transferring address thing I need to stay on top of. I have to make of list of all my accounts to make sure I make the changes. I will have to do this again in about six months.

STRESSFUL!

Anyway, so the panic and stress of the last three years has firmly set in. I go between anxiety and depression. It is just life happening with so many things not going right that it feels overwhelming. That and I am alone, except for the pud. Circe seems happy enough though she is stressed by all the boxes and piled things. Circe is a bit of a neurotic dog and I try and not stress her out too much. Anything new seems to send her over the edge. I firmly believe she was a total street dog. She is much more at home outside than inside. We will both just have to adapt, to what, I am not sure…

Winter is here and actually I am excited. We are expecting snow next week, but it may come as early as this weekend. I had my first ice spill on the front steps. First duty in the morning is taking Circe out. She bounds out the door with bladder needs (we can all understand this) and leaps down the stairs dragging me down where I have to leap out the last two. This morning there was ice and yes, I went down in a rolling ball all the way down. Thank God I was bundled up like the Michelin Man and only got a few bruises. Could have been worse…..! I will need to investigate where to get snow salt crystals.

I am getting things done, it just seems that when I do something, something goes wrong and I have to fix that so it just takes a few tries and changes to get anything done. I keep thinking of Churchill’s expression, “Life is just one damn thing after another!”

While in the liquor store, I spotted these beauties and thought I would pass this along. Day of the Dead tequila bottles, how appropriate. They look pretty good also. Dolph, this one is for you if you are reading this! 🙂

I discovered a new restaurant, Organic Krush. It is wonderful and they have all-day breakfast. There were so many new things I wanted to try I got confused. I ended up with a açaí health nut bowl, gluten-free supersede muffin and tea. Wow, it was not only tasty, but also an energy boost. I do not know where they got their strawberries, but they were super sweet. Surprising during winter. Anyway, I will be munching down here as often as I can. It is in Charlottesville so it won’t be too often, unfortunately.

On the house front, I have looked at quite a few interesting places, but have not been able to work out a lease to own deal so it is on to renting yet another house till all the divorce details are worked out. My decree has been on the judges desk for almost two months now! It has been four months since the paperwork was filed. The California courts are just a mess and it is a wonder anything gets done. So, I will just hunker down and wait it out. I just hate moving…..!

Speaks volumes to my life right now….lol!

Wait for it…..!

New obsession…Dill Pickle Peanuts! I am a peanut fan anyway, but when I saw these I had to try them. The clerk said she was addicted, so I bought a small can. They are super expensive. They are trucked in by a local Virginia peanut farmer (Virginia Peanuts!) so it is a luxury item. They are addicting….I see you wrinkling your nose, but speak not till you try them. I got some of their sweet and spicy peanuts also, which are amazing and have some real heat!

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas now just in case I get wrapped up in the craziness. I did send cards, but they may be late as I just sent them on the 17th. The weather has been ice stormy and wet and I have been traveling back and forth to Charlottesville so I had trouble getting to the Post Office on time. I am planning on spending Christmas Day photographing Downtown Louisa. They put up some lights and wreaths, it is charming. Maybe, there will be snow to add to the festive landscape….
