Kit Kat

The last couple of weeks have been filled with busy-ness. The details of life that need to get done. This has not kept me from noticing and enjoying the change of seasons. It is now mostly in the 30’s in the am and in the 60’s during the days.

My meanderings have taken me to check out a couple of houses. While walking the pud, I found a for sale sign in front of an asphalt road heading into the woods. The property is 33 acres and starts off with a tree cave. After breaking out of the trees, there is is a long road, about a mile, that winds to a house way off into the distance. Not sure if anyone was living in the house, I looked it up online. It is a historic home and looks like it is a money pit.

Louisa

Coming home from Charlottesville, I decided to check out another house I have been eyeing on Zillow. This is one of those instances when it is good to see the house in person. This is mostly for the area as the only way in is a single lane gravel road that changes into a dirt road and meanders through the forest. My biggest issue is with the access to this remote area. The road would not be useable in a storm and possibly difficult in the winter months. I might not be able to get out during some weather and if there was an emergency, the only route out is this single lane road that dips up and down in the forest. Oh, and I am wondering if UPS would be able to navigate this area. Forget any larger trucks as the road dips seriously which knocks out anything large. The area is beautiful, but the access is an issue…..

House in the Woods

I have a new autumn leaves video. This is the second in the series. It shows the start of the bloom of color…..I took this shot from the same area as the first video before the bloom.

First Bloom

Here is the previous video before the leaves started changing….

Sights on my Walks

I thought I would include some interesting things I find on my outings with the pud….

AUTUMN DAYS

Ok, I started the lights on my porch thing during the first weeks after I arrived in Louisa. I was excited to get porch lights at the Dollar Store really cheap. The only problem is that the plug ends as a female non-polarized plug. Turns out they don’t make any adapters for this now. I found this out after spending over $30.00 on converters only to find none are non-polarized. So I finally decided to chuck the whole set and buy new ones from the hardware store…

See you next week….
